A day trip to Bako National Park offers an exciting opportunity to explore one of Borneo’s oldest and most diverse parks. Located just a short drive from Kuching, the park is known for its stunning landscapes, ranging from mangrove swamps to rugged cliffs, and its rich biodiversity. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on a guided trek through the park’s various trails, each offering a different experience. You might encounter unique wildlife, such as long-tailed macaques, proboscis monkeys, and a wide variety of bird species. The park is also famous for its distinctive plant life, including carnivorous pitcher plants. Bako National Park’s accessibility and diverse ecosystems make it a perfect destination for a day trip full of nature, adventure, and wildlife encounters.

 

0845hrs: Pickup from Hotel (depending on tide level and hotel location for multiple pickups)

0915hrs: Arrive at Bako Terminal. Proceed with 20 minutes boat ride to the park (not including the waiting time for the boat).

0945hrs: Arrive at Bako National Park

1000hrs: 1200hrs: Introduction to the Park by the guide along with approximate 2 hours trekking though the selected trail (going and return)

1230hrs: Lunch at the Park’s Canteen

1330hrs: Short walk from the Park’s HQ towards the jetty

1400hrs: Return boat ride from the Park to the Terminal

1420hrs: Arrive at Terminal. Return transfer to the city.

1500hrs: Arrive at Hotel
