Birding at Sepilok provides an exceptional opportunity to explore the avian diversity of Borneo's rainforest. Located in Sabah, Malaysia, Sepilok is home to the Sepilok Rainforest Discovery Centre and the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, both of which are prime birdwatching sites.
The area features a range of habitats, including lowland rainforests, secondary forests, and canopy walkways, offering ideal conditions for spotting a variety of bird species. Notable species include the rare Bornean bristlehead, the colorful hornbills, and various species of kingfishers. Early morning and late afternoon are the best times for birding, as many species are most active during these periods.

DAY 1 - ARRIVAL IN SANDAKAN / SEPILOK
Meet on upon arrival at Sandakan airport, transfer to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre, watching one of
the nature’s most endangered animal species, the “Orang Utan”. Proceed to Bornean Sun Bear Conservation
Center to see the world’s smallest bear in its natural environment.
DAY 2 – RAINFOREST DISCOVERY CENTER (RDC)(B)
After breakfast, walk over to self-explore the Kabili Forest Reserve and famous canopy walkway that has been
regarded as the best place to see the endemic Bornean Bristlehead, Black and Yellow Broadbill, Buff-necked
Woodpecker and many more.
DAY 3 – RAINFOREST DISCOVERY CENTRE (B)
After breakfast, walk over to RDC for self birding, you may find rare species of birds, you may spot Scarletrumped Trogon, Pitta, Ruby-cheeked Sunbirds, Red-naped Trogon, Green Loras and many others.
Day 4 – DEPARTURE (B)
Check-out hotel and transfer to Sandakan Airport for the flight back home. END OF TOUR
